Point Break Rome 2007

Here's the tournament I played in Rome! We played at the Colosseum, in the Roman Forum, at the Vatican, on the banks of the Tevere River, and a bunch of other piazzas throughout the city. Crazy fun.

Plyos, stairs etc. w/Trudy

Met up with a handful of women's Ultimate players down at the polo fields for a workout.

Jog to the Reflecting Pool.
Plyos and stretching.
Jog to the Lincoln Memorial stairs.
3 minutes of up and down. (I lapped 2 people!)
3 rounds of: 1 minute plank, 15 leg lifts, 20 push-ups, 15 supermans
Jog back to Reflecting Pool.
Lunges: walking forward, sumo, diagonal, sumo, forward
3 rounds of: 10 star jumps, 15 tuck jumps, 20 split jumps
Wind sprints (Indian runs) to the polo fields.
Balance work and stretching.

About an hour overall. Good stuff.

I'm moving to California in the fall, and I'm definitely going to miss exercising in this neighborhood.

Fools Fest - 3 short games

The tournament directors shortened all games to 9 points (rather than 15) due to impending rain. Arrrgh.

We lost our first game, securing our last place finish. But then we won our consolation game. Finally! Scott's team had a first round bye, so I got to play with them - they were the 7th seed playing the 2nd seed team and lost the game, but we put up a good fight.

We hung out and watched some of the finals games before heading home to DC. A terrific weekend. A good start to the season. I'm glad my body feels good!
