Labor Day Tournament

Kind of a downer of a tournament, after the high of Chico two weeks ago. We had plenty of players (11 women!), so I didn't get to play very many points. And we had only 5 games altogether - 3 on Saturday (1 win) and 2 on Sunday (no wins). We played some really good teams, though, and held our own against them. Great weather, great to play.

Night Train Practice

Jog, plyos, stretch.

Lots of talking/thinking today, not much exertion. But we did play a pretty good scrimmage at the end of the day.

Scott's hamstring pulls are mostly healed, but now he's recovering from a calf pull. Hence, he will not be playing in the tournament this weekend. He hasn't played in a tournament with this team yet. :-(

Arboretum run

37 minutes! No sprint intervals, just a nice steady pace. My left ankle was a little tweaky, but I felt good otherwise.

Notes
I was feeling very creaky on my warm-up laps, and pretty short of breath throughout this workout. My 200s were faster than last time, but my 100s were slower. It's always so nice to be done with a track workout for the week!

Cindy

20 minutes of:
5 pull-ups (jumping)
10 push-ups
15 squats

I finished 14 rounds! That's a little better than last time, way back in March. As usual, the push-ups were the hardest part, and I'll definitely be feeling them later this week. I've been doing hardly any upper body work lately, but I think my cardiovascular fitness is better as a result of so much frisbee and track workouts.
